The pre-match activities on the upcoming Shakhtar v Club Brugge clash of the UEFA Europa League group stage have started from Mircea Lucescu’s press conference.

The fifth matchday of the UEFA Europa League between Shakhtar and Club Brugge (Belgium) the TV viewers will have a chance to watch live. Such an opportunity is provided by three TV channels: Pershyy Natsionalnyy(First National), Sport 1 and NTV+ Nash Football. The broadcast from Donbas Arena kicks off at 19:50, on 3 December.

The elections of Premier-league president being finished, FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov told about some details of this procedure.

— Discussion, which I think to have been constructive, went on for a long time – we have elected Premier-league president. We were speaking about football sincerely, and, I guess, it was beneficial for Ukrainian football. Vitaliy Danilov was elected premier-league president.

— Is it true that only clubs owners remained? What were you talking about and what mood was the talk going in?
—    We were speaking in a friendly way, we are one football family and everybody thinks how to make our football competitive.

Our site has already informed about FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov communication with the press after club heads meeting in Kyiv on December, 1^st. Mass media representatives couldn’t help asking question about reaction to Grygoriy Surkis announcement about Mircea Lucescu to be the candidate to the position of the head coach for Ukraine representative team. Rinat Leonidovych answer was as follows:

— I was not surprised at the fact that Mister Lucescu is viewed as the candidate to the representative team head coach position. I was surprised at how this offer was made. I would say, it wasn’t made professionally. It’s not a way to make job offer.

On December, 1^st the meeting of Ukrainian Premier-league clubs heads took place in Kyiv. Shakhtar was represented there by its president Rinat Akhmetov. When he meeting was over the journalists asked Rinat Leonidovych several questions. In particular, the notorious topic of ticket prices for Ukraine-Greece match was touched upon. Rinat Akhmetov answered the following:

— Ukraine Football Federation sets prices for tickets. Before the decision had been made we made our point of view explicit hundred times. We were not heard, though. After FFU having made decision Grygoriy Mykhailovych regards such issues must be solved by phone or in a closed room …

Shakhtar’s best player in November was… Such a simple question was  offered the Miners’ website visitors to reflect on.

About 1,158 supporters took part in summing up the November results. It is not a common thing when two football players get to the top of such chart. This time Luiz Adriano and Adriy Pyatov were considered to be the best players in November, having gained 322 points each.  The Miners’ captain Darijo Srna follows the top ‘double’, having clocked up 107 (9,24%) points. The Brazilian legionary Willian clinches  the top trio. About 87 (7,51%) website visitors favoured him this month.

Shakhtar’s midfielder Fernandinho has got all chances to be voted the best player among those who appear for the European Clubs.  The Miners’ halfback became one of thirty Samba d'Or award’s seekers.  It is the second time this trophy has been awarded.  The first holder was Kaká, who is playing for Real (Madrid).

Within a few days FC Shakhtar website’s visitors had an opportunity to spot the best goal of the last month. Here are three the Miners’ best goals in November.

 Luiz Adriano’s second goal against Tavriya (Simferopol) was voted by 222 (14.06%) respondents and held third place in our standings.  326 (20.65%) supporters favoured for Jadson’s point shot against Chornomorets. Thus, Shakhtar’s midfielder became the runner-up. And the best goal in November was considered to be Adriano’s one against Toulouse – 504 (31.92%) points.

The year 2009 is coming to an end and it is time to sum it up. Starting from today our website visitors will have a splendid opportunity to vote on-line on the ideal line-up of the 2009 Miners’ season (summer-fall). 

  The players, who took part at the official matches of the first circle, will have a chance to be voted in the on-line racing. 

Thus, the ideal line-up is going through four stages. At first, the voters will have an opportunity to choose a goalkeeper, then they will spot four defenders and only at the end two forwards will be voted.

Shakhtar shall meet Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukraine Cup semi-final. The other pair is Metalist – Vorskla. Dates and kick-off time will be known in December.
